IT MAY not look too taxing but people can find out just how hard Tai Chi can be by signing up to a new course.
Hyde Tai Chi Club is putting folk through their paces in the ancient Chinese art with the latest seven-week block, which starts on Wednesday, May 8.
Holy Trinity Church Hall in Gee Cross is the place where you can channel your inner spirit, beginning at 6.30pm.
To the untrained eye, it may look like people moving slowly to traditional Chinese music but it is very deceptive, just ask your core muscles after a session.
The seven-week block costs £35 or £30 if you have a Hyde Past and Present card.
Members of Hyde Tai Chi Club also put on a demonstration on Saturday, April 27 at Manor Park in Glossop.
It was for World Tai Chi and Chi Kung day, which started in New Zealand and finished 24 hours later in Hawaii, with the idea of creating a wave of energy around the world.
