HYDE Chapel and St George’s Church, Hyde, both had their spring fairs on the same day.
The event at Hyde Chapel, Knott Lane, raised £580 for church funds.
There were a variety of stalls – home bake, toys, plants, books and bric-a-brac – and refreshments including light lunches.
There were also plenty of activities at St George’s with a bouncy castle, facing painting and penalty taking football competition for children.
The Blood Bikers were represented as well as church member and local beekeeper Catharine Edwardes-Evans while there was a wide range of stalls including arts and crafts.
• St George’s is holding ‘Holiday at Home’ on Thursday and Friday, July 25 and 26.
It is aimed at providing entertainment for those, especially the elderly and lonely, who are not going on holiday this summer.
There will be activities between 10am and 3pm each day with a theme of under the sea.
St George’s is also having a garden party at the vicarage on Saturday, July 13.
