AN estimated 2,500 turnout made the 26th annual Gee Cross Fete one of the best yet.
There was plenty of stalls and attractions at Sam Redfern Green to keep visitors entertained.
In the outside arena there were displays from Hyde’s Freedom Dancers, Bobbomb Fitness, Denton’s Dance Gallery, ARTSync, Willow Wood Choir and Belle Vue Brass.
A full programme of events in the big top began with a church service and which was followed by music, circus, song and dance.
Proceeds from the fete will be split between Hyde Rotary and Willow Wood Hospice.
Rotary chairman Kevin Maddox, one of the fete organisers, said: “Each year after the fete we always review every aspect of the day in order to improve the experience the following year.
“This year I felt we got the balance just right not only with the varied entertainment programme but by introducing the scruffs dog show that appealed to everyone.
“The feedback we have had so far on social media has been fantastic and on behalf of the committee I would like to thank the sponsors and everybody who helped make this our 26th year one of the best Gee Cross Fetes yet.”
