GEE Cross Brabyns Neighbourhood Watch Group is hoping to add a splash of colour to the village.
The group, together with 3rd Gee Cross Scouts and others in the community, worked together to bring some sunflower sunshine to the area.
They planted about 200 sunflowers around public spaces in the village to hopefully bring a fabulous display of lovely yellow flowers to Gee Cross.
There is also the eco-element as the sunflowers are popular with bees and other pollinators.
The plants have been grown from seeds by members of the community group, scouts and others in Gee Cross supported by councillors Ruth Welsh and Phil Chadwick.
Having planted the sunflowers, the group has asked the community to support them by watering the plants whenever possible during this dry period.
